Delonghi DC50B 4 Cup Twenty Four Seven Pause & Serve Drip Coffee Maker, Black
Customer Review: Not a good choice.
The coffee can not be poured without drippling and the basket fits very precariously. If you put it in wrong, it will flood the counter with coffee because the basket does not empty. I know! It's a messy setup anyway you look at it.
Customer Review: POOR DESIGN
Whoever designed the decanter for this coffee maker must not have tried pouring with hot coffee. It doesn't matter if I pour fast or slowly, full or half pot -- it ALWAYS drips and spills. So, I've become accustomed to just pouring my morning coffee over the kitchen sink to prevent the countertop mess and potential burns. Recently it's gotten very hard to open the filter compartment, and would be virtually impossible for anyone with arthritis to do so. Thankfully, I just received a brand new Cuisinart as a gift, so this piece of Delonghi garbage is finally in the trash where it belongs.

Delonghi BCO264B Esclusivo Cafe Nero Combo Coffee and Espresso Maker
The espresso function starts up quickly without much advanced preparation and has two filter holders--one that uses ground espresso and another that uses coffee pods. The pod filter holder has a unique design that securely holds pods in place and makes disposal easy with a single touch of a button. The patented ground espresso filter improves upon the brewing process, which means espresso drinks always have a perfect crema. Cappuccino and latté lovers will be pleased with the exclusive chamber that mixes steam and milk into a delicious, creamy froth. The espresso maker has a stainless-steel boiler for durability and a removable spill tray for easy cleaning. DeLonghi offers a one-year limited warranty on defects in materials and workmanship for this two-in-one espresso/coffee machine. --Cristina Vaamonde
Customer Review: Dont waste your money! Breaks or stops working in a month or so
I went through a few of these within a month of owning it. I received it damaged got a replacement and that one lasted less than a month then another and another and finally one worked for almost a year and that one broke too. You have to ship the unit at your expense every time as well and at 20+ pounds its expensive to ship and my closest place was a 2 hour drive. it doesnt make quality espresso at all its more like coffee even with premium beans that are ground just before brewing. Their customer service is useless as well they dont know anything about their units or making espresso. spend a couple hundred more and purchase a higher quality one that will last.
Customer Review: Warning: If anything goes wrong, the warranty is worthless!
Although their coffeemakers do an excellent job of making coffee, DeLonghi WILL USE ANY EXCUSE NOT TO HONOR THE WARRANTY IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG! Here's my experience: When I ordered my coffeemaker from DeLonghi, it was "backordered" and took over a month to ship. A little over 10 months after I received it, the coffeemaker broke! (The heater coil went out and it would no longer make coffee.) Since it had been over a year since I ORDERED it, they said the one-year warranty was expired, despite the fact I had proof I had received it less than a year before (I still had the shipping confirmation). I explained this numerous times. For a couple of months, the various people I talked to kept telling me they would "look into it", but they never called back. Finally, when it actually WAS over a year since I had received the coffeemaker, when I called to check on the status of my warranty claim, they said, "Your warranty has expired. You've had this coffeemaker over one year. There is nothing we can do." I highly recommend you find a coffeemaker from a manufacturer that stands behind their product! I have a Cuisinart now, and it is WONDERFUL!
DLODCM485 - DeLonghi 10-Cup Stainless Steel Coffee Maker
Customer Review: Broke Twice - Not Worth the $$
I purchased this pot and a month later the electronic display quit working. I exchanged it for a new one and then 6 months later or so the electronics went out on the new one. The pot still worked though but now it finally died. The coffee did leak on the counter at times but the coffee was good and the pot kept it very hot. I will not buy another of this brand of coffee maker - too expensive to have to replace every 6 months.
Customer Review: I actually like this coffee maker
So, I have seen this coffee maker trashed all over the internet including here. However, I have to say I like it. AND, I have used it regularly (almost daily) for 1 year and 3 months now. It is very quite and brews quickly especially if you follow the recommended instructions and clean it with vinegar every couple months or ~ 100 brews. PROS: quiet, atrractive, sturdy, coffee is hot enough, carafe is excellent and keeps coffee pretty darn hot for 2-3 hours. Also, water basket is removable for easy filling (great feature!). CONS: programming buttons are NOT intuitive - I had to use the instruction manual as a reference quite a while before mastering it; other reviewer was correct - the blinking light when you have it set for timed brew is annoying (it's the biggest round button that flashes bright orange); hard to find water filter replacements; brewing strength dial on top seems a bit hokey and unnecessary. With that all being said, it brews a nice cup of coffee (I use premium coffees like Starbucks, Seattles Best, etc.) It is definitely hot enough. I can't understand these people that say it is not hot enough - what do they want? Boiling? 3rd degree burn-hot? Crazy. Trust me, when it first brews, I can just barely sip it without being burned. I then transfer it to a Nissan Stainless Travel Mug, and it stays hot all the way into work (45-min drive). Also, I have never had any problems with the carafe. If you look at the picture on the lid and follow the directions, it is very simple. It has NEVER spilled when pouring. It has also NEVER overflowed on me, so I don't know why people have complained about this so much around the internet. One reviewer mentioned it is tough to pour water in without it spilling. Well, there is a simple solution to that problem...the water resevoir comes out! It even has a sturdy handle that pops up and down. This not only makes filling the water so easy a monkey could do it, but it also makes it nice because you can easily clean the water basket. I am all for this coffee maker. I like it. Nice and sturdy and attractive. I have had ZERO PROBLEMS with it. My 2 cents!
