DeLonghi DCM900 Esclusivo 10-Cup Coffee Maker
Customer Review: Nice Product.
10/28/2007 I do like this coffee maker alot. I have been a multiple Krups owner. The last coffee maker I owned was a DeLonghi which was bought at Target. It had more options and was less money. I don't think it lasted even a year before it started to turn off before the pot of coffee was done brewing, or would not turn itself off after 2 hours. I wanted to buy The DCM900 before I had bought the one from Target but could not get myself to spent the extra dough to get it. The one from Target was 50$ and became a fire hazard I thought. So after looking back at the DCM900 on Amazon I found one in my price range. Yeah it is alot of money for a coffee maker that is not loaded with tons of options, but the style and performance are great. It is kind of kool when people come by and they say wow nice coffee maker. No I can't program it to make my coffee before I wake up, and it does not grind my beans for me, but how many people are willing to to say to themselves am I crazy for paying that much for a coffee maker and do it? Customer Review: Poor product, Poor support
I had this coffee maker less than three months when it just stopped brewing in the middle of a brewing cycle. I immediately called customer support and spoke with Erica. She was very pleasant and offered several suggestions, including de-scaling the machine. She told me to call her back regardless of the results. None of her suggestions succeeded, including de-scaling, which proved to be impossible since the DeLonghi wouldn't brew anyway. And if the coffee maker did need de-scaling, its built-in de-scaling warning light never went on. In any case, I had a mess on my hands and called DeLonghi customer service back. This time I reached Amanda, who couldn't have been nastier and wouldn't or couldn't allow me to speak to Erica. I asked to speak to her supervisor, Josh, who was extremely condescending and unhelpful. Unfortunately, it was then that I decided to do my research, not before. It turned out there were numerous complaints registered with the Better Business Bureau concerning DeLonghi, several of which DeLonghi simply didn't respond to. DeLonghi's policy required ME to pay to ship their product to a service facility in Delaware for them to decide what to do with the machine. This is a very expensive coffee maker that has virtually no special features to warrant such a price tag. I am sorry I didn't do my research before I bought such a terrible product with awful customer support. Be warned before you repeat my mistake. I am currently awaiting word from the powers that be as to the disposition of my $225 investment.

Customer Review: poor quality; duct tape to the rescue too
I couldn't believe it when I read previous reviews about broken latch on filter basket. My husband had a computer cable wrapped around it this morning. I prefer duct tape. This is ridiculous!!!
Customer Review: Wonderful Coffee Maker
I have owned the elite for over 2 years. It makes wonderful coffee, great flavor/taste/aroma and automatic shutoff after 2 hours, which I need. Easily programmable for making coffee in the morning while you sleep. Only one problem has surface and that is the lid/top has broken in and I need to find a new one. Other than that, I love it. Very happy!

Delonghi DC50B 4 Cup Twenty Four Seven Pause & Serve Drip Coffee Maker, Black
Customer Review: Not a good choice.
The coffee can not be poured without drippling and the basket fits very precariously. If you put it in wrong, it will flood the counter with coffee because the basket does not empty. I know! It's a messy setup anyway you look at it.
Customer Review: POOR DESIGN
Whoever designed the decanter for this coffee maker must not have tried pouring with hot coffee. It doesn't matter if I pour fast or slowly, full or half pot -- it ALWAYS drips and spills. So, I've become accustomed to just pouring my morning coffee over the kitchen sink to prevent the countertop mess and potential burns. Recently it's gotten very hard to open the filter compartment, and would be virtually impossible for anyone with arthritis to do so. Thankfully, I just received a brand new Cuisinart as a gift, so this piece of Delonghi garbage is finally in the trash where it belongs.

Customer Review: Broke Twice - Not Worth the $$
I purchased this pot and a month later the electronic display quit working. I exchanged it for a new one and then 6 months later or so the electronics went out on the new one. The pot still worked though but now it finally died. The coffee did leak on the counter at times but the coffee was good and the pot kept it very hot. I will not buy another of this brand of coffee maker - too expensive to have to replace every 6 months.
Customer Review: I actually like this coffee maker
So, I have seen this coffee maker trashed all over the internet including here. However, I have to say I like it. AND, I have used it regularly (almost daily) for 1 year and 3 months now. It is very quite and brews quickly especially if you follow the recommended instructions and clean it with vinegar every couple months or ~ 100 brews. PROS: quiet, atrractive, sturdy, coffee is hot enough, carafe is excellent and keeps coffee pretty darn hot for 2-3 hours. Also, water basket is removable for easy filling (great feature!). CONS: programming buttons are NOT intuitive - I had to use the instruction manual as a reference quite a while before mastering it; other reviewer was correct - the blinking light when you have it set for timed brew is annoying (it's the biggest round button that flashes bright orange); hard to find water filter replacements; brewing strength dial on top seems a bit hokey and unnecessary. With that all being said, it brews a nice cup of coffee (I use premium coffees like Starbucks, Seattles Best, etc.) It is definitely hot enough. I can't understand these people that say it is not hot enough - what do they want? Boiling? 3rd degree burn-hot? Crazy. Trust me, when it first brews, I can just barely sip it without being burned. I then transfer it to a Nissan Stainless Travel Mug, and it stays hot all the way into work (45-min drive). Also, I have never had any problems with the carafe. If you look at the picture on the lid and follow the directions, it is very simple. It has NEVER spilled when pouring. It has also NEVER overflowed on me, so I don't know why people have complained about this so much around the internet. One reviewer mentioned it is tough to pour water in without it spilling. Well, there is a simple solution to that problem...the water resevoir comes out! It even has a sturdy handle that pops up and down. This not only makes filling the water so easy a monkey could do it, but it also makes it nice because you can easily clean the water basket. I am all for this coffee maker. I like it. Nice and sturdy and attractive. I have had ZERO PROBLEMS with it. My 2 cents!

DeLonghi DC50B Twenty Four Seven Drip Coffee Maker, Black
Customer Review: Fine, Fast, Hot, Small
This fine looking little device is the second Delonghi 4-cup coffee maker that I have owned. The first had the dewar flask carafe and no warmer and the coffee wasn't really hot enough. Lots of microwave action for second cups with that one. This one has the glass carafe and a warmer; MUCH Better. It has the permanent filter but I put in a paper filter anyway. The first lasted nearly three years before the switch failed, more than acceptable for this inexpensive and reliable little unit. It makes coffee fast and strong and just the right amount for a quick big mug to wake up and another after my morning dog walk. Later mid-morning coffee is managed by making a fresh pot of great tasting coffee (I prefer Community Club Dark Roast). One has a tendency to grip the carafe handle with ones fingers and rest ones thumb above on the flip-up lid lever (This is similar in sprit to riding the brake in your vehicle). The effect is to raise the lid just enough for the coffee to pour out all around the lip of the carafe and the result is spilled coffee while pouring. Do not do that. Like all makers with the steal-a-cup feature, if one only partially inserts the carafe then the valve will not open and coffee and grounds will overflow. Do not do that either. I would recommend it to tho others (I have) and I would buy it again (I did.)
Customer Review: Too Hot
I would not recommend buying this coffee maker. Getting the water into the reservoir is a clumsy feat at best. But worse, when pouring the last third of the hot coffee out of the pot, the lid falls open allowing the steam to scald your knuckles. I wish I could have gotten another Krups 4-cup but they've stopped making them.

DeLonghi DC50W Twenty Four Seven 4-Cup Drip Coffee Maker (White)
Customer Review: Unsafe!!
While this coffee maker makes a good cup of coffee, it has no automatic turnoff. As a result, if you forget to turn the heating element off before you leave the house, your best possible scenario is a house filled with the odor of burnt coffee when you return - the worst is returning to your house burning. This is inexcusable in this day and age.
Customer Review: Gives a new name to "Drip Cofee Maker"
This is an adorable little coffee maker, makes delicious coffee. Love the "brew pause" feature. But it always makes a complete mess on my counter, both when pouring water in and pouring coffee, therefore I can only give 3 stars. I came on Amazon today to find another 4 cup coffee maker that does NOT spill coffee all over my counter when I go to pour it. When I saw this on here, I decided I ought to write a review and warn those poor souls who might be tempted to order one. I give 5 stars for cuteness factor but just 1 star for practicality. Therefore, a total of 3 stars. Buyer beware.

Delonghi BCO264B Esclusivo Cafe Nero Combo Coffee and Espresso Maker
The espresso function starts up quickly without much advanced preparation and has two filter holders--one that uses ground espresso and another that uses coffee pods. The pod filter holder has a unique design that securely holds pods in place and makes disposal easy with a single touch of a button. The patented ground espresso filter improves upon the brewing process, which means espresso drinks always have a perfect crema. Cappuccino and latté lovers will be pleased with the exclusive chamber that mixes steam and milk into a delicious, creamy froth. The espresso maker has a stainless-steel boiler for durability and a removable spill tray for easy cleaning. DeLonghi offers a one-year limited warranty on defects in materials and workmanship for this two-in-one espresso/coffee machine. --Cristina Vaamonde
Customer Review: Dont waste your money! Breaks or stops working in a month or so
I went through a few of these within a month of owning it. I received it damaged got a replacement and that one lasted less than a month then another and another and finally one worked for almost a year and that one broke too. You have to ship the unit at your expense every time as well and at 20+ pounds its expensive to ship and my closest place was a 2 hour drive. it doesnt make quality espresso at all its more like coffee even with premium beans that are ground just before brewing. Their customer service is useless as well they dont know anything about their units or making espresso. spend a couple hundred more and purchase a higher quality one that will last.
Customer Review: Warning: If anything goes wrong, the warranty is worthless!
Although their coffeemakers do an excellent job of making coffee, DeLonghi WILL USE ANY EXCUSE NOT TO HONOR THE WARRANTY IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG! Here's my experience: When I ordered my coffeemaker from DeLonghi, it was "backordered" and took over a month to ship. A little over 10 months after I received it, the coffeemaker broke! (The heater coil went out and it would no longer make coffee.) Since it had been over a year since I ORDERED it, they said the one-year warranty was expired, despite the fact I had proof I had received it less than a year before (I still had the shipping confirmation). I explained this numerous times. For a couple of months, the various people I talked to kept telling me they would "look into it", but they never called back. Finally, when it actually WAS over a year since I had received the coffeemaker, when I called to check on the status of my warranty claim, they said, "Your warranty has expired. You've had this coffeemaker over one year. There is nothing we can do." I highly recommend you find a coffeemaker from a manufacturer that stands behind their product! I have a Cuisinart now, and it is WONDERFUL!
